Bomb Sniffing Dog Fired By CIA For Refusing To Sniff Bombs
A bomb-sniffing dog has been fired for refusing to sniff bombs. The CIA said that Lulu began to show signs that she simply "wasn't interested in detecting explosive odours" a few weeks into training.
According to a "pupdate" on the CIA's website, the Labrador has been dropped from its K9 programme, for her own mental and physical well-being.
"Even when they could motivate her with food and play to search, she was clearly not enjoying herself any longer", the post read.
When a dog is dropped or retires from our program, the handler or handler’s family is given the chance to adopt them.
Lucky Lulu was adopted by her loving handler, and now enjoys her days playing with his kids, sniffing out rabbits and squirrels in the backyard, and eating meals and snacks out of a dog dish.
