Bedsits Set To Be Reintroduced Under New Plans
Bedsits are expected to make a comeback next week.
Papers today are reporting the Housing Minister will unveil new plans to resurrect single occupancy rooms.
They were banned in 2013 because of poor standards.
Housing Minister Eoghan Murphy last month said he was reconsidering the ban.
The Irish Times reports the reintroduction of bedsits will be part of a package of measures to try and tackle the housing crisis - but strict regulations on accommodation standards are expected.
It's also expected landlords will be banned from asking for two months deposit.
