Sad Day For Derry As Two Major Funerals Take Place
Two massive funerals are taking place in Derry today.
Footballer Ryan McBride is being laid to rest this morning.
The Derry City captain died suddenly on Sunday night, aged just 27.
His team mates formed a guard of honour as his coffin was carried into St. Columba's church.
His funeral will be followed by that of Martin McGuinness this afternoon.
The 66 year old politician's family, friends and neighbours will line the route from his home as his tricolour-draped coffin is carried through streets, past Free Derry corner to the church.
Thousands of mourners and dignitaries are expected to attend including Bill Clinton, Tony Blair, the Taoiseach and President.
Sinn Fein President Gerry Adams will deliver a graveside oration at the City Cemetery.
