GamerCon Defend Long Waiting Times
GamerCon have defended their wait times after ticket holders queued outside in the rain for hours at the weekend.
They said issues inside the venue are the responsibility of the Convention centre and were outside of their control.
Ticket holders criticised the event after being left outside in the rain for hours because the venue was full.
It's understood 25,000 tickets were sold for the two day event but the venue can only take 7,000 people at a time.
In a statement the organisers say there were challenges with the queue on Saturday and they've refunded people who did not want to wait.
Fans took to Twitter to express their frustration.
Rohn McDonnell, from Clonsilla, waited almost three hours in the VIP queue after spending €120 on a VIP ticket.
He told 98FM News, "Anybody that was here today that hadn't VIP tickets queued for three and a half hours to be told when they got to the door that there wasn't room in the venue for them and they were turned away.
"There was kids crying at the door this morning ... and it was raining too, so the weather didn't help."
