New Clamping Regulations To Be Discussed
New laws to regulate clamping will be discussed in the Dail today.
If passed the legislation will see new practices for private clamping companies and will regulate clamping across public and private property.
The National Transport Authority will be put in charge and will set the maximimun release fees.
The NTA will also make sure proper signs are in place where clamping is carried out and it will set up a complaint and appeals system.
If there's an area with no maximum charge, you won't pay out more than 100 euro.
If you do pay more than the charge, the clamper can be fined up to 4000 euro.
