Wreckage Of Rescue 116 Found
Search teams have found the wreckage of Rescue 116.
The coastguard confirmed that the main part of the Coastguard helicopter was found earlier today after it was picked up by an underwater camera.
It's on the east side of Black Rock island at a depth of around 40m.
Weather permitting, divers will try and swim down to the sea bed tomorrow so they can physically inspect it.
The Air Accident Investigation Unit believes that Rescue 116 struck rocks before it crashed and spun out of control immediately afterwards.
At the start of the week parts of the tail rotor assembly from the aircraft were found close to the lighthouse on the island.
The Dublin-based coastguard helicopter came down with four crew on board on the 14th of March.
The search continues off the coast of County Mayo for the bodies of Mark Duffy, Paul Ormsby and Ciarán Smith.
