"The Recognistion Isn't Quite The Same" - Jason Smyth
Jason Smyth has expressed frustration with regard to the lack of equality shown by Paralympic sport towards various disabilities, in the wake of his successful run at the 2016 Paralympics.
Smyth clocked a time of 10.64 in this years Rio games to claim his third T-13 100m gold medal.
Despite his incredible success, Smyth feels disabilities, like being blind, do not garner the same attention or recognition as athletes with more visible disabilities.
The 29 year old isn't hung up on the situation though and believes he can alter fans perception of
"I'm one of many athletes who has a less visual disability, it's about trying to change that"
