Conor McGregor On A Collision Course With UFC Management
Conor McGregor is on course for another collision with UFC management. Both parties have differing opinions about what his next move should be.
UFC President Dana White has ruled out the prospect of a third fight involving McGregor and Nate Diaz.
In the immediate aftermath of the decision victory at UFC 202 the Dubliner hinted that he would be open to a deciding fight, but only on his terms.
Diaz won the first bout at UFC 196, but McGregor responded by claiming victory last weekend. UFC President White said: “The war was fun and super successful, but I'm moving on.”
McGregor’s options are limited now to fighting Jose Aldo once again to unify the title, he could also face Eddie Alvarez for the lightweight title.
White favours a rematch Aldo: “Conor has to defend his title or make a decision to give it up – or whatever he wants to do.
“I’ve got to sit down and see what’s next, If I were Conor, I’d defend my title"
McGregor though wasn’t enthused by the prospect of facing Aldo again and feels it would hold no appeal for fans either:
