Colin Lynch Wins Silver At Paralympic Games
Colin Lynch has won a silver medal at the C2 Time Trial at the Paralympic Games in Rio.
He finished in a time of 28:02.25 over the 20km course to claim Ireland’s fourth medal of these Games.
The 45-year-old finished 19 seconds behind gold medallist Tristen Chernove from Canada, but 15 seconds ahead of Guihua Luang of China in third.
"It’s four years and to achieve the one thing I didn’t have, a Paralympic medal", said Lynch.
"It was really close and I was trying to figure out how to get everything out of myself. It was really really close."
Lynch’s medal sees him join Jason Smyth, Michael McKillop and Eoghan Clifford onto the medal table for Team Ireland.
