Boys In Blue Heading Stateside Again
The Boys in Blue are heading Stateside once again, as the Dublin senior hurlers are set to face Galway in the AIG Fenway Hurling Classic.
The Dubs were beaten by the Tribesmen 50-47 in the same event at Fenway Park in 2015, which was marred by a brawl.
That was the first time that hurling was played at the iconic home of the Boston Red Sox and this year will see it expanded to a double header.
The 2016 All-Ireland champions Tipperary will take on the 2016 Allianz League champions Clare also while both games will be played in the Super 11s format on November 19.
The format reduces the sides to 11 players and the only way to score is under the crossbar into the net - a goal inside the designated scoring zone is worth three points, while scoring from outside the zone is worth five points.
