"We're Probably A Few Weeks Behind In Terms Of Our Training"- Cian O'Sullivan
Cian O'Sullivan admits Dublin's late start to 2017 cost them during the Allianz League campaign.
The 2016 All-Ireland winning panel missed the successful O'Byrne Cup campaign in January, as they took their annual holiday later than usual.
It meant the Boys in Blue weren't at their imperious best during the Allianz League, with comebacks needed for draws against Tyrone, Donegal and Kerry, before a final defeat to the Kingdom at Croke Park.
Two-time All-Star defender O'Sullivan feels their late start to the year may be the reason for the drop in performance level.
However, speaking to 98FM’s Derek Ryan, the Kilmacud Crokes man also admits the late start could benefit the Boys in Blue later in the year:
Cian O'Sullivan was speaking at the renewal of the partnership between leading sports compression wear brand SKINS and Dublin GAA. The sponsorship will see SKINS provide compression and recovery garments for the Dublin senior football and hurling team.
