Lift Plunges 84 Floors In Chicago
In America, six people have survived after a lift plunged 84 floors when its cables snapped.
A pregnant woman was among the group in one of Chicago's tallest skyscrapers.
Friends who'd used another lift realised something was wrong when the group didn't appear after 20 minutes.
According to The Washington Post, the group boarded the express lift just after midnight after visiting a restaurant on a 95th floor. But they soon noticed the life was descending way too fast.
Luckily the lift came to a sudden halt somewhere between the 12th and 11th floors.
'It was bumpy like an incoming flight to Chicago', described one passenger to the Chicago Tribune.
Another said: 'I believed we were going to die.'
