Gardaí Continue Search Of Chapelizod For Trevor Deely
Gardaí are continuing their search of a woodland area in Chapelizod today, in the hopes it will lead to a breakthrough in the case of the disappearance of Trevor Deely.
The 22 year old was last seen in December 2000 walking home from his Christmas Party in the Baggot Street area.
A three acre site has been sealed off in Chapelizod, with the search expected to last a number of weeks.
Detective Inspector Paul Costello appreciates that this is a stressful time for the Deely family, and has asked for their privacy to be respected throughout the process of the search.
He says that the investigation is in it's early stages and "as it develops we'll keep an open mind on what we find or don't find. I can tell you it is new information, but I can't tell any more than that".
