Electric Picnic Is Looking For Volunteers
If you missed out on getting an Electric Picnic ticket this year, there is one way you could still get going to the festival. Organisers are looking for volunteers.
Successful applicants will be expected to do jobs like help check wristbands, direct production vehicles and report any health and safety issues.
In return, you get to go to Electric Picnic 2017 for free. You have to do a total of 24 hours volunteering work over the whole weekend, and shifts can be split in to four six-hour shifts or three eight-hour shifts.
Organisers say volunteers "play an important part in the festival" and are the "eyes and ears" of the event. If you're chosen as a volunteer you will need to pay a deposit of €250 that will be paid back to you once you turn up for all your shifts.
Weekend Volunteers must be available to arrive onsite in Stradbally on Thursday 31st August, and work shifts across Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Tickets for Electric Picnic 2017 sold-out in record time this year, and were gone before any acts were even announced. Headliners this year include The XX, A Tribe Called Quest and Duran Duran.
London Grammar, Chaka Khan and Pete Tong with his Ibiza Classics are just some of the other names on the line-up, which you can see in full here.
