The Rose of Tralee Launch Their Search For The 2018 Dublin Rose
It's been 15 years since a Dublin Rose has won the Rose of Tralee, as the search for the 2018 Rose has begun.
The capital's last Rose of Tralee from 2003, Orla Tobin has put out the call for ladies to take part in this year’s selection in June.
Over 1000 women entered the festival last year, with 64 travelling to Tralee.
The 2003 Rose of Tralee, Orla Tobin, said:
“I met some of my best, forever friends through the Rose of Tralee experience and they are like my second family. It gave me the opportunity to travel around the world, become an ambassador for UNICEF Ireland and gather a lifetime of memories that will always stay with me. All I would say now is fill in the application form, put your name forward to be a Rose and whatever will be will be.”
Rose Selections events will continue to take place around the world until the end of June with the qualifiers going to Tralee to take part in the 2018 Rose of Tralee International Festival from Friday 17th to Tuesday 21st August.
