I absolutely HATE stopping for petrol.....I'll drive on fumes before I'll pull in to fuel up so you can imagine the panic I experienced yesterday when I found myself alone down the country with tyres that were getting flatter and flatter by the hour. I had no choice - I had to pull in - not only to get petrol, but to put air in my tyres.
This for me is the most intimidating place I could possibly find myself - trying to make it look like I know what I'm doing as I fiddle with the dustcaps on my tyres and pretend to be an expert in stupid air gauge machines or whatever you call them.....who knew tyre pressure differed on all cars! The mortification of getting out the car's manual in the middle of the forecourt.
So you can imagine my RELIEF when I found a garage that automatically beeps when your tyres have the adequate amount of air. Best invention ever.......p.s. if anyone knows where I can find a garage in Dublin with an auto air machine, let me know ;)
