All-Ireland Football Final Tickets Appeared On eBay For €3,500
Two tickets for the All-Ireland football final of Dublin and Tyrone were spotted on eBay for €3,500.
According to the Herald, the tickets have since been removed after a Dublin supporters group reported the auction to the GAA and eBay.
Last month, a new ticket touting law was approved by Cabinet to decrease the number of profit-seeking ticket sellers.
Fine Gael's TD for Dublin North West, Noel Rock says this sort of behaviour needs to end:
"For the real fans out there this is genuinely disappointing it shows the lengths that people will go to gouge real fans into spending way over the odds on match tickets."
He added that "€3,500 is an extortionate amount of money to attempt to charge for these tickets and I'm delighted that the Dublin supporters group the GAA and indeed eBay where on the ball on this occasion."
