Tallaght Footbridge Murder Trial Jury Shown CCTV Footage
The jury in the Dale Creighton murder trial has heard the alleged victim had a knife in his hand on the night in question.
Six men and one woman, all originally from Tallaght, deny murdering the 20 year old almost three years ago.
It’s the Prosecution’s case that Dale Creighton was viciously assaulted on a footbridge in Tallaght in the early hours of New Years Day 2014.
This afternoon - the jury is being taken through CCTV footage which was captured on and around the footbridge at the time of the alleged assault.
In it - the court heard the alleged victim can be seen with a knife in his hand before he goes up onto the footbridge.
The jury was told all seven accused can be seen in the footage on the footbridge.
The court heard at one stage Dale Creighton is lying on the ground – at other points he is kicked in the head, slapped, hit in the groin area and dragged on the bridge.
In another part of the footage a male – not before this trial – is seen punching Dale nine times and kicking him - before leaving the scene.
