Jurgen Klopp: Liverpool Wont Sell Philippe Coutinho
Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has issued a hands of warning to any club hoping to land Phillipe Coutinho.
Barcelona reportedly expressed their interest and were preparing an €80million bid for the Brazil midfielder earlier this week, their advances were rejected by the Premier League club.
"I have nothing to say about this," Klopp responded when asked questions about ongoing speculation that Coutinho could have his head turned by Barcelona.
"Yes Coutinho is not for sale. He's still young and can still improve a lot.
"I'm not surprised that any club is interested in players at Liverpool. We are not a selling club.
"We want to make the next step together and for that we need to stay together."
"Phil is a very, very important player, but we need to react better when he's not on the pitch, that's how it is.
"He was out for a few games [last season] and when he came back, he was not in the best shape to get back into his rhythm.
"With his quality, he has all the pressure to do it on the pitch. We have to be better in moments like this.
