Shamrock Rovers To Host Burnley This Summer At Tallaght Stadium
Sean Dyche will bring his Burnley side to the Tallaght Stadium for a friendly match against Shamrock Rovers on Friday July 14th.
Burnley will be based in Ireland for six days as part of their pre-season training schedule with the game at Tallaght Stadium the final part of that.
There will be lots of interest in particular for the Irish Internationals in the Burnley squad including Robbie Brady, Jeff Hendrick, Stephen Ward and Kevin Long.
Speaking about the fixture Burnley manager Sean Dyche said: “We’ve decided to stay just outside Dublin, which fitted in with our thinking. I flew out there myself to have a look and it’s a great facility, which is the key."
“It’s a bit closer to home and we’re going to link up with a game at the end of the week which is good for our fans should they want to come over."
Tickets are available online at the Shamrock Rovers website, with a special offer available for members and season ticket holders.
The game will form part of a Festival of Football at Tallaght Stadium this summer, with a UEFA Europa League qualifier, an SSE Aitricity League fixture and another high profile friendly to be announced in the coming days.
