"Dublin Hurling Can Take Confidence From Cuala Win"- Paul Schutte
Cuala’s All-Ireland success on St Patrick’s Day should give Dublin hurling a massive boost.
That’s the view of Cuala manager Mattie Kenny and Cuala and Dublin defender Paul Schutte.
Ger Cunningham has been without nine Cuala stars during this year’s Allianz League campaign, as they concentrated on their club’s All-Ireland bid.
Dublin have struggled without the Dalkey side’s players, but could still reach the Allianz League quarter finals by beating Kilkenny at Parnell Park next weekend.
Speaking to 98FM’s Derek Ryan after clinching their first All-Ireland success last Friday, Kenny felt the return of the Cuala contingent will boost the Dublin panel.
While Schutte hopes Dublin hurling overall can gain huge confidence from Cuala’s exploits over the past 12 months:
Dublin take on Kilkenny at Parnell Park next Sunday, with both sides needing a win if they’re to avoid a relegation playoff and reach the quarter finals.
