Dublin Senior Football & Camogie All-Ireland Quarter-Finals Set To Clash
Supporters of gaelic games in the capital will be forced to choose between the senior footballers and camogie team on August 5.
That is the date that both teams have been handed for their All-Ireland quarter-final matches, while the venues are miles apart.
Today the Camogie Association announced the dates and times for the Liberty Insurance All-Ireland last eight fixtures, with both games being staged as a double header at Semple Stadium.
The Girls in Blue will take on 2012 champions Wexford at 5pm before Galway face Tipperary with a 7pm throw-in.
On the same day, over 160 kilometres away at Croke Park, the Boys in Blue will be facing into a last-eight clash against one of either Monaghan, Down or Tyrone.
While the times have yet to be announced for the men's double header at GAA HQ, it would seem most likely that the Dubs match would throw in at 7 after Tyrone's quarter-final.
The camogie team ended their Group 1 campaign with a heavy 3-14 to 0-8 defeat to the champions Kilkenny last Saturday but progressed thanks to Clare's defeat to Galway which meant that Dublin finished third.
