Brendan Rodgers Fumes As Celtic Are Denied Blatant Penalty In 1-1 Draw With Rangers
Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers feels his team were robbed of three points by bad refereeing as they drew 1-1 with Rangers in the Scottish Premiership on Sunday.
A dramatic late equaliser rescued a point for Rangers in the Old Firm derby.
Stuart Armstrong had put the Scottish Premiership leaders Celtic ahead before Clint Hill's strike in the 87th minute.
Celtic could’ve grabbed victory in stoppage time as Leigh Griffiths' was hacked down by Hill in the box but referee Bobby Madden waved away their appeals much to the dismay of Rodgers:
“I thought it was a penalty at the end, whenever Clint Hill tells me that he got away with it at the end and that tells me it was a penalty.”
