When You Get Older Keep Away From The Boys! - Roy Keane
Two young professional football hopefuls stole the show at today's Republic of Ireland press conference with Roy Keane.
The Irish assistant boss can make the most experienced of football hacks quake in their boots but the young duo held their nerve and in-turn received some sage advice from the Corkman.
The two girls are taking part in the Aviva FAI Soccer Sisters programme and were given one question each to the Irish number two.
The first young girl melted a few hearts when she asked Keane if the manager Martin O'Neill is also his best friend because they hang around so much. Awwwwwww!
"Is he my best friend?", Keane wondered with a big grin on his face.
"No, probably not. There's a few lads in Cork [are] my best friends. We have a very good working relationship. Very professional.
"I think we get on pretty well together because we don't see too much of each other, I think that's a big factor but yea, he's one of my best friends, yea."
The second Soccer Sister wanted some advice from Keane in order to help her become a professional footballer.
"Advice? Train properly. Be on time for training. Listen to your coaches and when you get a bit older, keep away from the boys!"Soccer Sisters is an FAI Programme created under the "Introduction to Football" banner, the aim of increasing the number of girls playing soccer and utilising facilities countrywide.
