Peter O'Mahony To Skipper Lions This Weekend
Peter O'Mahony will captain the British & Irish Lions, when then take on the Maori All Blacks on Saturday morning.
Warren Gatland’s men are aiming to recover from their defeat to the Highlanders earlier this week, ahead of the opening test against the All Blacks on Saturday week.
Skipper O’Mahony will be partnered in the back row by Leinster’s Sean O'Brien.
Tadhg Furlong gets the nod in the front row in a very strong side.
There’s an all-Irish half back line, as Johnny Sexton partners Conor Murray.
Leigh Halfpenny, Anthony Watson and George North make up the back three, with former Leinster player Ben Te’o joining Jonathan Davies in the centre.
Up front, Taulupe Faletau joins O’Brien and O’Mahony in the back row.
Maro Itoje and George Kruis make up the second row pairing, with Mako Vunipola and Jamie George joining Furlong in the front row.
Jack Mc Grath and Iain Henderson are also named on the bench, as are Dan Biggar and Lions tour captain Sam Warburton.
Owen Farrell was named on the bench, but has since been ruled out through injury.
