Good news for homeowners this morning, three of four Dublin local authorities have voted to cut the property tax by 15 percent.
Resident will have their property tax bills cut next year after Dublin City Council, Dun Laoghaire Rathdown and South Dublin County Councils all voted to reduce the charge by the maximum amount.
It was despite a warning from management that the decision could hit services in other areas including provisions for the homeless.
However councillors voted almost unanimously across the 3 local authorities to cut the payment.
Fingal Co. Council is due to vote on the charge today.
