The cost of renting an apartment in Dublin has risen by more than 12 percent in the past year.
The latest figures from the Private Residential Tenancies Board shows growth in house rents in Dublin up over 8 percent.
Nonetheless, rents for houses nationally are still 22 percent lower than they were at the peak in 2007.
