Alleged Sex Attacker Ordered Off Dating Sites
A dad of two accused of sexually assaulting a woman on the UCD campus has been ordered to stay away from online dating sites.
IT worker Patrick Nevin of Meadowlands Court, Mountain Road, Dublin is accused of attacking the alleged victim after picking her up in the city centre.
The alleged victim told Gardai that Patrick Nevin picked her up in a BMW outside Tesco on Talbot St. at 9.30 on the night of July 23rd.
She claims he then drove her to a secluded spot at the UCD campus in Belfield where she was subjected to a violent sex attack.
She said he grabbed her by the hair and forced her to kiss him on the lips and that she asked him to stop but he wouldn't.
She claims he then put his hand up her skirt and pulled down her top and despite being hit in the back of the head while she tried to fight him off, she somehow managed to scramble out of the car and raise the alarm.
Nevin, a graduate of UCD now works as a software designer with a Dublin IT company.
Despite Garda Declan Ryan's objections, the 33-year-old was given consent to bail subject to a number of conditions including that he stays with his aunt in Balbriggan and stay off dating websites.
He's due back in court next week.
