Jury To Deliberate In Marioara Rostas Murder Trial
The jury in the trial of a Dublin man accused of murdering 18-year-old Marioara Rostas will begin its deliberations later this morning.
38-year-old Alan Wilson of New Street Gardens denies killing the Romanian teenager at a house on Brabazon Street in The Coombe in January 2008.
Marioara Rostas was last seen by her brother getting into a car while begging at the back of Trinity College on Sunday the 6th January 2008.
The Central Criminal Court heard it was four years before her body was discovered in a shallow grave in Wicklow with four gunshot wounds to the head.
Gardai were led to the scene in the mountains by a criminal Fergus O'Hanlon who has testified that he helped the accused man Alan Wilson to dispose of the body.
This key witness and accomplice has been granted immunity from prosecution.
The trial has lasted 6 weeks but much of that time was spent in legal argument, today the jury will retire to begin its deliberations.
