Body Of Donaghmede Man Found Shot In Field
A murder investigation is underway after the body of a Donaghmede man was discovered in a field in Co. Meath yesterday evening.
The remains of the man in his 20s were found at Ballymacan between Slane and Collon.
Paul Gallagher had been missing since Monday before his body was discovered with gunshot wounds yesterday.
It's believed that he was brought to the area by an associate for a pre-arranged meeting when he was killed.
The area was sealed off overnight for a technical examination and the state pathologist attended the scene.
The body was taken to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Drogheda, for a post mortem.
Gardaí are appealing to anyone with information to contact Navan Garda Station.
