Permission Granted For Guinness Storehouse Expansion
A planned expansion for the Guinness Storehouse has been given the go ahead.
The €16 million extension plan for the attraction at St James' Gate in The Liberties was announced earlier this year.
It will see the Gravity Bar - which sits at the top of the brewery building with 360 views of the city - doubling in size.
The creation of the new space will allow the bar to hold 500 people at a time.
Dublin City Council has now granted planning permission.
The Storehouse has had almost 17 million visitors - including Queen Elizabeth - since it opened back in 2000, and has become one of the city's most popular tourist attractions.
