Man And Woman Killed In Ballymun Shooting
Two people have been killed in a shooting in Ballymun. The man and woman were attacked on Balbutcher drive just before four o'clock this afternoon.
The woman who was killed was a mother of six.
An eye-witness says two men in balaclavas walked up to the house and fired a number of shots.
A child who was in the house at the time of the attack received minor injuries, while two other people - a woman and a man - are being treated for non life threatening injuries at the Mater Hospital.
Gardaí say the woman who died is in her 40s, while the man is in his 30s. A silver Opel Zafira with 08 LS plates was found partially burnt out a short distance from the scene.
The area was sealed off pending an examination by Garda Scenes of Crime Examiners.
Justice Minister Charlie Flanagan says it's an "outrageous attack" which is "totally unacceptable", and insisted that gardai are determined to see those involved brought to justice.
