Drug Detector Dog Meg Sniffs Out Cannabis At Dublin Port
Drugs detector dog Meg has sniffed out cannabis at Dublin Port. She led officers to €150,000 worth of the drug, which was hidden in a parcel from Nigeria addressed to Dublin city centre.
Investigations are on-going with a view to prosecution.
Revenue says the operation is part of its "on going operations targeting the illegal importation, supply and sale of drugs."
It has asked anyone with information about drug smuggling, contact Revenue's Confidential Freephone 1800 295 295.
Last year, Meg became the first ever animal to win the DSPCA's Silver Medal. She was given the award for helping find dozens of puppies hidden in the boot of a car. You can read more about that here.
