Five Ulster Bank Branches Closing in Dublin
Ulster Bank has announced its shutting 22 of its branches around the country, with five to close in Dublin.
220 jobs will be lost in the process.
The company says its restructuring in response to changing customer demand and that only 150 customers used the affected banks in the last week.
"Closing a branch is a difficult decision which we do not take lightly, and our branch network remains an important part of how we serve our customers. However, the role of the branch continues to move toward advice and away from day-to-day transactions, with only 10% of our customer interactions now happening in branch."
The bank will shut its branches in Dalkey, Donnybrook, Dorset Street, Rathmines and Sandyford.
