Man Arrested On The Luas This Morning
One man has been arrested after he caused disruption on the Luas Red Line this morning.
Commuters were delayed for over an hour this morning when their tram ground to a sudden halt at around 8:30am near the Goldenbridge stop.
A man had unexpectedly pulled the emergency stop lever, causing passengers to jolt forward and some reportedly fell to the floor.
One woman sustained minor injuries, but Gardai say nobody had to be hospitalised.
There were long delays on the Luas Red line for much of the morning as a result - but trams are back running as normal now.
The man was subsequently arrested and is being detained at Sundrive Garda Station. He can be held there for up to 24 hours.
