Court For Robbery Suspect Who Fled On Dublin Bus
A man who its alleged made his getaway on a Dublin Bus after an armed robbery is due in court this morning.
The dramatic incident happened in the Crumlin area on Saturday night.
At about a quarter to 8 a man brandishing a knife entered a newsagents on the Long Mile Road, threatened staff and demanded cash.
The man fled the scene and boarded a Dublin Bus heading towards the city centre.
A witness alerted Gardaí and a number of units chased the bus.
The bus was stopped at James's Street and the man was arrested a short time later.
A knife had bee recovered and a suspect is due to appear before Dublin District Court this morning charged in connection with the incident.
