500 Million To Be Spent On Social Housing In Dublin
Half a billion euro will be spend on social housing in Dublin over the next two years.
The money will be used to build and refurbish almost 7000 apartments and homes.
The plan is part of a nationwide stragegy to reduce social housing waiting lists by 25 percent by 2017.
Dublin City Council is receiving the most amount of money, 292 million euro for 3347 units.
It's followed by South Dublin Co. Council which will build and upgrade 1445 homes for 73 million euro.
One thousand 376 units will be developed by Fingal Co. Council for 81 million euro while Dun Laoghaire Rathdown Co. Council is getting 61 million euro to build 681 homes and apartments.
