Government Buys Moore Street Site
A 1916 Commemorative Centre is finally set to be developed at 14 to 17 Moore street.
The Government has announced its buying the site where the rebels had their last stand.
Dublin Central TD Joe Costello who first proposed the idea over 20 years ago - says its welcome news...
"There has been a huge amount of difficulty in the last number of years over the ownership and the proposed developments on 14 to 17 and the fact that the state has now decided to take it into state ownership means that the state can being to properly prepare the commemorations for 1916".
