Over 10 million cigarettes have been seized by customs officers at Dublin Port.
The Don Corleone brand were worth almost 5 million euro and if sold would have resulted in a 4 million euro loss to the exchequer.
The contraband were found in a 40 foot container that had arrived from Belgium over the weekend.
The cigarettes were described as paper handkerchiefs and were discovered by routine profiling.
