"Significant Clue" Found At Crash Pilot's Home
Two homes linked to the co-pilot who is believed to have deliberately crashed a Germanwings airliner into the French Alps are being searched by German police this morning.
Officers have carried out thorough searches of Andreas Lubitz's flat in Dusseldorf and the home he shared with parents in the historic town of Montabaur.
For several hours investigators took away cases and boxes from both addresses.
A police spokesperson says a 'significant clue' has been removed from one of the properties.
The 27 year old has been accused of preventing the captain from re-entering the cockpit.
All 150 people aboard the aircraft died in the crash.
The Irish Times Berlin Correspondent Derek Scally says reports this morning are focusing on Lubitz's mental health.
