Man Charged With Sending Pigs Head Dublin Bound
A Dublin man who its alleged sent a severed pigs head to a Clare garda is due in Dublin airport today.
A European arrests warrant was issued after he failed to return from a holiday in 2013.
It's alleged forty seven year-old Brendan Mahoney of Cabra Park, Dublin 7 sent the severed pigs head to the garda in January 2012.
He was charged with the offence but after his bail conditions were changed he went to Spain on a holiday and stayed there.
A European arrest warrent was issued and today gardai are taking the man back to Ireland.
It's expected that he will stand trial later this year.
