Wristbands
How do I get wristbands? Wristbands will be released from July 3rd. You need to tune into 98FM and listen for the cue to register. All wristbands are released online and you will need to register you details and sign an online waiver.
We are also giving away wristbands on social media – keep an eye on 98FM’s Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.
Is there a limit on wristbands?
Yes. You can register for 1 wristband for you and a maximum of 3 friends. Each person must sign a waiver on collection or at the event. Wristbands are non- transferrable.

Can we bring our own inflatables and, if so, what type of inflatables are permitted?
Inflatables will be provided free of charge if you would like to use them. You will not be permitted to bring your own.
Are handheld devices allowed on the slide with or without selfie pole/chest mount/head mount?
GoPro’s (or similar) are permitted so you can capture all the action, however only if it is mounted to your head or body without any buckles or sharp pieces. ‘Selfie poles’ and helmets are NOT permitted.
Are sunglasses/prescription glasses allowed on the slide?
No. Glasses will not be permitted while sliding.
Can I slide with footwear? (Sandals, Reef Shoes, Normal street shoes)
Sensible soft footwear can be worn and we recommend you do so. We suggest flip flops or rubber shoes. No footwear with buckles, studs or any metal will be permitted.
Can I slide with a hat?
Yes, as long as there are no sharp or abrasive items that could damage the slide. No helmets will be permitted.
Can I slide with jewellery on? (watches, necklace, rings etc)
No. The only exception is medical alert jewellery. In the event that you have rings or piercings that cannot be removed, we will need to tape any such jewellery to ensure no injuries or damage to yourself, others or the slide.
Can we slide in tandem?
No. The only exception being adult and child combinations.
Is there somewhere to store personal belongings?
No, we advise you leave personal belongings with a friend while you ride the slide. We accept no responsibility for personal items lost, stolen or damaged on the day.
Are there changing facilities?
Yes, there will be changing facilities on site along with hair dryers. Don’t forget to pack a towel, you will get wet!
What should I wear?
Sensible clothing for water activities must be worn – no jeans or clothing with metal buckles will be permitted as they may damage the slide.
What else can’t go on the slide?
Back packs, wallets, purses, towels, bags and animals.
How many times will I be allowed to slide?
Each wristband allows two slides. One wristband per person.
Health & Safety:
All participants must follow the instructions from any staff member during the event in the interest of safety.
There will be a health and safety officer on site along with 2 paramedics at all times, should medical assistance be required.
