Top Internet Challenges Of 2015
Every year social media encounters a new stream of internet challenges, that are shared and tried by people all over the world.
Well 2015 was no different and this year we saw a mix of very strange, unusual and some very dangerous internet challenges.
1. Charlie Charlie
Charlie Charlie is a game that originates from Spain and is said to be a schoolyard game. However the challenge was taken on by YouTubers, trying to see if the spirit of Charlie was real. They did this by placing two pencils on a sheet with yes and no written on it. They would ask Charlie questions and the pencil would move. But most were caught out, when it was revealed they were just blowing on the pencils to make them move. Spooky!
2. Condom Challenge
The condom challenge was probably the most popular challenge of 2015. The challenge required a condom filled with water, and a friend who was willing to have it dropped on their head. The challenge was said to be promoting safe sex, but most felt it was promoting how unsafe these challenges are.
3. Don't Judge Me Challenge
This challenge was an internet campaign, that was suppose to help stop body shaming by wiping off flaws and show what is beneath. However the challenge seemed to have backfired, when people felt the video shamed people suffering from acne.
4. Kylie Jenner Lip Challenge
Kylie Jenner's lips caused quite a stir on social media this year, when people attempted to give themselves homemade Kylie lips. Using a shot glass people sucked on it until their lips were like balloons. Most did not get the result they were looking for, and some were left with badly swollen and bruised lips.
5. Belly Button Challenge
The belly button challenge was said to be the next thigh gap. #bellybuttonchallenge was to show that you could touch your belly button, with your arm wrapped around your back and touching it with your hand. The point of this challenge ? We are not sure.
Who knows what 2016 will bring, but we recommend you don't try any of these at home.
