"They Should've Put Us Away Earlier" - Barry Cahill Hits Back At Bryan Sheehan
"In 2011, I felt we were the better team. I'll go on record - they stole that one off us. We let it slip through our hands."
It's no surprise that Bryan Sheehan's loaded comments made to newspaper reporters on Kerry's media night ahead of Sunday's All-Ireland semi-final, have not gone down well in the capital.
Those who will argue Sheehan's point say that the vital free kicked at the death by Stephen Cluxton to clinch Dublin's first All-Ireland in 16 years was too soft to be given.
Sheehan's comments also allude to the four point lead his team threw away when Kevin McManamon, who also won the free, fired home his 64th minute goal.
Barry Cahill was on the Dublin team that day and laughed off Sheehan's 'bitter' comments when they were put to him on 98FM's Dublin Talks GAA last nightSheehan also suggested that the sole reason for the Dubs holding the Indian sign over Kerry since 2011 is their superior fitness.
Former Dublin hurler and footballer Conal Keaney was also on last night's show and explained that there's a lot more to the current crop of BluesCahill believes that the reason Dublin have been so good over the last few years is down to their perfect blend of athleticism and football skillYou can listen to the full Dublin Talks GAA podcast or segments here.
