Shortage Of Firefighters In Dublin Putting Lives At Risk
The Government's being warned that a shortage of firefighters in Dublin is putting lives at risk.
Members of the fire brigade joined a march on O'Connell street earlier to mark national emergency services day.
But union SIPTU says there's an unacceptable level of risk due to severe understaffing in the force and their members have voted for industrial action - up to and including a strike.
The union says at least 70 new staff are needed.
