Radiohead Say They're Not Suing Lana Del Rey For 'Copying' Creep
Radiohead's publishers say they haven't filed a lawsuit against Lana Del Rey.
The singer tweeted on Sunday that she's being sued for copyright over her track Get Free.
But Warner/Chappell have issued a statement saying while it's 'clear' her song uses musical elements found in the band's song Creep, they're just requesting that's 'acknowledged'.
Lana Del Rey had said the band were taking a lawsuit against her for allegedly copying their hit song Creep. The band claim that part of the melody to Get Free sounds almost identical to their 1992 single.
The American singer tweeted on Sunday: "It's true about the lawsuit.
"Although I know my song wasn't inspired by Creep, Radiohead feel it was and want 100% of the publishing - I offered up to 40 over the last few months but they will only accept 100."
The irony is, Radiohead were sued when they released Creep. The Hollies' won a legal battle when they argued it sounded the same as their song, The Air That I Breathe.
