North Inner City Dentist Offering Free Check-Ups For The Homeless
A dentist in the north inner city is offering free check ups and warm clothes for the homeless tomorrow.
Lorraine Collier, who owns Perfect Smiles on Railway Street, says this will be her festive act of kindness.
She had originally planned to do up gift packs for the homeless but after mulling it over with her partner, Lorraine opted to offer her skills instead.
Lorraine told The Herald that she "we're doing our best with a low budget".
She says there'll also be food and hot drinks and will be taking donations of hats, scarves and socks to help the homeless wrap up.
Patrick James from the Voice of Ireland and Geraldine O'Callaghan from The Apprentice will be on hand for a sing-song and there will be collections for warm clothing for those who have to brace the freezing temperatures on the streets of Dublin this Christmas.
"As corny as it sounds we want to make people smile" added Lorraine, from East Wall.
"Hopefully we actually do put a smile on someone's face on Saturday".
