Liberties Residents Oppose Hotel Plans
A number of residents in the Liberties in Dublin have rejected plans to build a hotel on Vicar Street.
Developer Harry Crosbie wants to create an eight storey hotel, with a creative art studio and a bar.
The application for the project which is supported by Failte Ireland states that it would contribute to the regeneration of the area.
But the Irish Independent reports that residents have stated the development would cause distress and the hotel would tower over their homes.
