Ibrahim Needs Presidential Support
Department of Foreign Affairs officials say that a firm and measured diplomatic approach remains Ibrahim Halawa's best hope of release.
The 19 year old from Firhouse has been in an Egyptian prison for nearly two years after he was arrested during political protests in Cairo.
His trial was postponed for the 8th time over the weekend but his Irish based lawyers say the Government could have him released under a presidential decree.
But Colm O'Gorman from Amnesty International says it's not as easy as that.
