Homeless Services Face Serious Funding Shortfall
The City Council's been left with a "serious funding shortfall" to deal with the homeless crisis this year.
Officials had asked for a grant of over €55million, but the State has approved a cheque for €37.1 million, €18.5 million less than what they were looking for.
This means money for services here in Dublin could run out by October.
Dublin City Council Housing Manager Dick Brady said the council will be in "serious negotiations with the Department of Environment, in relation to what is a serious shortfall in terms of the funding for this year".

Lord Mayor Críona Ní Dhálaigh has said they're calling for an urgent round table meeting with the relevant departments and the council and has urged Environment Minister Alan Kelly to "engage with them as soon as possible to address this crisis".
